Most small business websites are built to look nice, not to be found.
A good-looking site that nobody finds isn't doing its job. Plenty of agencies will build you something pretty, then leave the SEO for later, usually as a separate invoice. Who you'll be working with
I'm Ian Ferguson. I've spent ten years in SEO, most of it agency side, working on close to a hundred Shopify migrations for brands like Barbour, Montane and Buff. Before that I did a degree in business and marketing, which is why I start with your customers rather than the design.
These days I work for myself, so there's no account manager in the middle and no agency overheads in the price. You deal with me from the first chat to launch day.

Can I update the site myself?
Yes. You get a simple editor for your text, images and news posts. I'll show you how it works at handover.
Will I lose my Google rankings if I move from my old site?
Not if it's done properly. Every page on your current site gets mapped to its new home and redirected, and I check it all before and after launch.
Who owns the site?
You do. The site, the content and the domain are all yours.
What does it cost to run?
Very little. The hosting I use is fast and costs a fraction of a typical hosting plan.
Do you write the copy?
Yes, it's included. I get to know your business and your customers first, so it sounds like you rather than a generic website.
